Although I am not done with this book, maybe short stories are her forte. Jean Johnson, although a promissing writer, has issues with character development.
i think this book belongs in the beginning of the series not sure it didnto apele to me as much as the others i had a hard time putting them down
This is another of the fine books of the sons of destiny series. I hope that Ms. Johnson will continue in her book writing. I for one will be an avid reader.
I found one book at a library book sale. A lady was so excited to find this book
and could not contain herself and pushed it into my hand. She told me I absolutly
had to read it and the whole series. I bought it for a quarter and found it a smooth enjoyable and facinating read. I immediatly ordered the whole series and
just fell in love with it. I loved how each brother was special on their own.
Also, that not all women have to be beautiful, graceful or have the perfect bodies. Yes the brothers are exceptional but the women were so human, every female reader could easily relate.
The Sons of Destiny series are a jewel that every woman should read. I usually read
a book and then pass it on or donate it. But not the Sons of Destiny, I can't let
them go and love just looking at the covers, such eye candy, now with a little
imagination, how can anyone go wrong?
I'm not usually a fan of short stories but all of these are connected so you can feel the flow of the text easily and it doesn't get cut off too early like in short stories.
I absolutly LOVED Jean Johnson's "Sons of Destiny". So when I found out that there was a new book "Finding Destiny" set in the same world I bought it instantly. I sat down immediatly with my all excited. Such high hopes that faded. Quickly. I am going to be honest. I could not even finish the book. Which to me is a sign at how awful it was. I can count on one hand how many times I have quit mid-book. I hate doing that. I am not sure exactly why I couldn't finish it. Maybe because I feel the stories are too rushed. They don't go super in depth or develope the relationships at a beliavble pace. It's like they meet and have hostility on one page and then you turn the page only to see them say "I love you". The first story I had a hard time reading. I really, really had to push myself. By the time I was half-way through the second story I was so disgusted and could not force myself to go on. So to be fair. I did NOT complete the book. But I simply could not. I am so disappointed at this paticular book.
